ABSTRACT
Andrew Neyman, a talented young jazz drummer burned by his father's once-promising failed writing career, enrolls at a competitive music conservatory with a view towards achieving greatness in his craft. Andrew's abilities are discovered one day by Terence Fletcher, perfectionist leader of the conservatory's jazz ensemble who stands determined to push Andrew to the ends of the Earth in his quest to transform him into a world-beating legend.
