ABSTRACT
Lucas, an average, unassuming man hailing from a close-knit small Danish town, struggles to maintain a relationship with his son in the wake of a nasty divorce and loss of his job as a high-school teacher. When Lucas's prospects in life start to look up in light of his new-found employment at a local kindergarten and budding romance with an attractive coworker, however, they are shattered by young pupil Klara's inaccurate claim that he is a pedophile, a supposed admission that forces him to work to mitigate a sudden and undeserved reputation as a pariah in his community. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
