REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 18-Jun-2006) I found Nasty Habits movie to be a
real hoot -- and if you follow along closely you will see the plot
situation mirrors the then recent Watergate incident in our own
Washington, DC, but this movie, of course, takes place in a convent.
Nice mix of star celebrities playing the nuns and real journalists
playing themselves. I feel this is a real treasure to be enjoyed again
and again.
Review by Jim Tompkins-MacLaine (posted on 1-Aug-2007) Whoever called this movie a "very, very bad film" has NO sense of irony. The cast is remarkable, with Glenda Jackson holding the reins tightly in her grasp. Sandy Dennis is "fall-down laughing" funny, Anne Meara and Anne Jackson are wonderfully conniving, and their husbands, Jerry Stiller and Eli Wallach are divine in their roles. The story is a knock-off on Watergate, told through a renegade Philadelphia convent. The production values are a bit "grainy," but this movie is one of my favorite parodies.
