Director: Alfonso Gomez-Rejon Writers: Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa; Earl E. Smith Keywords: Horror, Serial Killer Remake of the 1976 film of the same name follows the town of Texarkana as they are terrorized by a series of murders decades after a serial killer's disappearance.
ABSTRACT Remake of The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976). The so-called "Moonlight Murders" terrorized the twin towns of Texarkana, Arkansas and Texarkana, Texas in the 1940s; in the present day, the towns commemorate that unfortunate portion of their history with drive-in showings of 1976's The Town That Dreaded Sundown, a cult film about the events. The killings resume when a copycat attempts to murder young man Corey and date Jami at one such showing, leading a traumatized Jami to investigate the incident for herself after managing to escape as the denizens of Texarkana fear sundown once more.
