Intended by the director to be taken in like a "cinematic folk song", Ain't Them Bodies Saints tells the story of Bob Muldoon, a Texas outlaw imprisoned after taking the fall for his wife in a shootout with police who breaks out of his sentence to be with her after learning that she has given birth to their daughter.
