ABSTRACT
Mona, a twenty-something Muslim woman living at home in London with her traditionalist parents, rejects her family's plans to force her into an arranged marriage by running away with Tanvir, a Punjabi man from her workplace. Desperate to defend their heritage, Mona's overbearing mother enlists the services of a bounty hunter, placing our protagonist at the mercy of a man hired to carry out an "honor killing".
