REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 9-Feb-2007) This is the definitive teenage angst movie. Jon Cryer as poor Ducky, full of unrequited love. Andie trying to 'raise' her hapless father, who has never gotten over her mother leaving them, and Blane, rich and a misfit to his super-cool friend played by a very young and nasty James Spader. The fascinating thing about this movie was the fact that they changed the ending. Originally, Duckie DID get the girl. But it met with such bad reviews, they recalled the whole cast to re-film the final sequence, which has "IF you leave" playing in the background. If you look closely, Andrew is wearing a wig, as his own hair had been cut due to a play he was doing at the time. Even for teenage girls of today, Andie is the heroine of street smarts. Love this film!
