REVIEWS Review by Exit 32 (posted on 16-Jun-2009) Saw this movie today on TV (TCM). I'm a big fan of Robert Mitchum and can't believe I've never seen this movie. It was very good, of "The Apartment" genre, with his costar Shirley MacLaine. It was a sad, romantic film because in the end they break up (amicably) but very sad. Realistic, black and white and of course the story takes place in New York. Can't get better than that. I felt it dragged slightly and as a couple they did "seesaw" in the dialogue about loving, not loving each other.
