REVIEWS Review by sonya abbott (posted on 6-Sep-2005) This movie is brilliant. It's so witty and entertaining. Techinccally it's stunning. The pattern of circles throughout is so unique and engaging. I throuroughly enjoyed this movie simply for its originality and quirkyness. The cohen brothers once again use strong visuals and proove to us all how truly strong their grasp on filmmaking is.
I loved Jennifer Jason Leigh's performance is was hilariously spot on of Catherine Hepburn. Tim robbins was just as funny they are both very talented actors who help to make this movie so enjoyable.
I do not understand how this movie has fallen into obscurity as it is just so good. Forrest Gump was released the same year as The hud and it skyrocketed at the box office. That movie was also about an imbecille who was in the right place at the right time and yet the hud was no where near as successful as it. Very disappointing.
I highly recommend this movie to anybody who enjoys intellectual comedy and stong visuals.
