ABSTRACT Dahlia Williams, a woman facing immense emotional trouble amidst messy divorce proceedings, moves into a dilapidated apartment with her daughter on account of its close proximity to a well-regarded school. Dahlia's sanity is further tested when she is haunted by the ghost of a young girl, sending her on a mission to investigate the apartment's history when her daughter sees visions of the same strange spirit. American remake of the Japanese film Dark Water (2002), itself a knockoff of Ring (1998).
