ABSTRACT Movie 43 is a strange, confusing, and outright objectionably awful mish-mash of short films featuring more A-list celebrities than there are objects in the known universe told in the context of a prevailing segment called "The Pitch", in which washed-up eccentric screenwriter Charlie Wessler attempts to get film executive Griffin Schraeder to give the green light to his outrageous concepts, going so far as to threaten him with a gun until he consults his manager to purchase the film. We ultimately find that even this story is nothing more than a part of the movie being made, tying together a plot that the Chicago Sun-Times infamously labeled "the Citizen Kane of awful".
