Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (23-May-1984)
Director: Steven Spielberg Writers: Willard Huyck; Gloria Katz; George Lucas Music: John Williams Producer: Robert Watts Keywords: Action/Adventure, Archaeology, India A close call in Shanghai forces Indiana Jones to flee for his life, escaping on an airplane with whiny American nightclub singer Willie Scott and young pickpocket Short Round. They later find out this was a trap; the craft is owned by an adversary, and the three are forced to bail out over a village in a remote part of India. It is under the spell of cultists who have kidnapped the village's children, forcing them to labor in mines for mystical Sankara Stones. Underneath Pankot Palace is the Temple of Doom. Second and weakest of the three original Indiana Jones films; this is a prequel with the events taking place one year prior to Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).
