REVIEWS

Review by Paul Venter (posted on 3-Mar-2008)

I gave this movie the normal 5 minutes to see whether it was worth watching and was captivated for the duration. It avoids almost all of the normal Hollywood cliches. The scenes are breathtaking in their simplicity and impact and never linger long enough to become boring. The storyline is appealingly straightforward - a big city art gallery owner meets up for the first time with her new husband's bible-belt family, and signs up a new artist at the same time. Embeth Davidtz is superb as the gallery owner and new wife.
