Robert Mitchum is a wealthy, philandering husband whose wife has for years locked him out of their bedroom. He has two sons, a manly illegitimate son, George Peppard, and a mama's boy, George Hamilton. Approaching the age of majority, Hamilton asks for more guidance from his father.
