ABSTRACT
Alcoholic salesman Nick Halsey is terminated from his position of sixteen years following an incident pertaining to his addiction. Disaffected and depressed from his wife's subsequent announcement of her intent to divorce him and bereft of a steady source of income, Nick arranges a deal with the police and his Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor to hold a yard sale on his front lawn with the understanding that he will have to vacate the premises in five days' time, leading to an unexpected shot at a return to form when he strikes up a strange connection with new neighbor Samantha.
