REVIEWS Review by rickytic from Falls Church,VA (posted on 12-Feb-2005) A small fictitious principality in dire need of funds, headed by a eccentrically funny Queen (Peter Sellers) come up with the idea to declare WAR on the USA, with the planned intention of immediately surrendering. This would then make it possible for them to claim reparations, thus solving their monetary insolvency. What they fail to account for is hilarious and quite entertaining romp through New York City. Peter Sellers is resplendent in his multi acting roles within this film.
Shot in B/W, the film is rich and well directed and produced. Kids today to not appreciate films not shot in color, and for those it might be time for a competent remake of this classic.
Rent the film, get a big bowl of popcorn, sit back and enjoy this hilarious farce!
