Michael Clayton (31-Aug-2007)
Director: Tony Gilroy Writer: Tony Gilroy Keywords: Drama, Corporate Crime, New York, Mental Illness, Explosions A lawyer representing an obviously guilty chemical company in a high-stakes lawsuit suffers a nervous breakdown, bringing his employer's "fixer" onto the scene.
ABSTRACT Michael Clayton is an ethically-challenged brilliant former District Attorney with an equally ethically-challenged present-day line of work, operating as a "fixer" for law firm Kenner, Beck, and Ledeen when one of their lawyers fails to come through for the group. KBL attorney Arthur Edens, tasked with representing an almost comically-guilty chemical company in a multi-billion dollar lawsuit, suffers a nervous breakdown in a Milwaukee, Wisconsin parking structure in the course of attempting to absolve his client of punishment for their misdeeds, throwing Michael into the down-and-dirty thick of what might very well be his darkest undertaking to date.
