Fifth installment in the sci-fi thriller franchise picks up from where the previous film left off, following the series' chief protagonist as she continues to resist the nefarious Umbrella Corporation.

ABSTRACT
Taking place immediately after the events of the fourth installment in its series, Resident Evil: Retribution centers on chief protagonist Alice as she fends off an attack orchestrated by a brainwashed former ally, Jill Valentine, aboard the Umbrella Corporation-owned freighter Arcadia. Shortly thereafter, the movie shifts gears to a depiction of Alice's once-idyllic existence as a suburban housewife, going on to shape a narrative of how a sudden zombie attack one day forced her into her present existence.
