CAST REVIEWS Review by John Levin (posted on 23-Sep-2007) Hard to go wrong with this one. Raoul Walsh at his best. The early scenes in the diner are priceless with Raft and Sheridan bouncing lines off one another. Raft was very briefly a top star at Warners and he certainly carries this one without any trouble. His acting has often been criticized but here he shows what he can do and that's plenty. Lupino is over the top and Bogart, still a supporting player, provides little of that. Ann Sheridan delivers her lines with gritty humor. All in all, it still stands up. You'll be glad you saw this one.
