3:10 to Yuma (7-Aug-1957)
Director: Delmer Daves Writer: Halsted Welles From short story by: Elmore Leonard Music Composed by: George Duning Producer: David Heilweil Keywords: Western Notorious killer Glenn Ford has been captured and must be delivered to the railroad depot in a distant town, where the schedule 3:10 train would carry him to a courtroom in Yuma and, presumably, to prison. Near-bankrupt farmer Van Heflin agrees to escort the criminal to the train station for a small bounty and with minimal official assistance, as the bad guy's gang plots an ambush. Based on a story by Elmore Leonard. Tense, surprisingly un-dated, and not to be confused with the 2007 remake, which altered the ending to Leonard's public dismay.
