Mr. Wong, Detective (5-Oct-1938)
Director: William Nigh Writer: Houston Branch Keywords: Mystery, Mr. Wong Chemical manufacturer Simon Dayton develops a justified paranoia and seeks the assistance of detective James Lee Wong; they agree to meet the following day but at the appointed time, the businessman turns up dead in an otherwise empty office. Immediate suspects include Dayton's two partners, and the scientist who devised the company's poison gas formula. Meanwhile German agents try to sabotage the poison gas shipment before it can reach a third country, presumably the Soviet Union. First appearance of the Mr. Wong character from Colliers magazine.
