REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 6-Jun-2005) Great movie! Small and intriguing, yet
pivotal, role by the now very famous Ian McShane (Deadwood on HBO) as
Teddy Bass, and an oscar nominated performance by the incomparable Ben
Kingsley as Don Logan. But the true center of this film is Ray Winstone
as Gary "Gal" Dove, a 'retired' gangster who is pressed back into doing
one last job in a surprising turn of events. This film is a diamond in
the rough when compared to many of its contemporary gangster films,
it's smart, funny, sexy and has great music. You'll never close your
eyes while sitting at the pool again!
