CAST REVIEWS Review by Joe Placido (posted on 11-Aug-2007) Great Nostalgia.
Classic 40's genre with typical "Age of Innocence" aura to it.
Brought back fond memories of my boyhood ... when this country was full of optimism and good music.
Doris Day is sweet and making her vocal mark in movies.
Jack Carson his usual jovial, "used-car-salesman" self.
Eve Arden is a hoot ... (always the "also ran") and very witty
and delivering great lines.
Loved the Art Deco period ... the fashions; the interior decors;
the cars.
Loved the civility, too.
If you appreciate "the way we were" in that golden era, you'll
enjoy this movie.
Do you know something we don't?
