Inchon (4-May-1981)
Director: Terence Young Writers: Laird Koenig; Robin Moore; Paul Savage Keywords: Drama, Korean War Unification Church-financed epic recounts Douglas MacArthur's role in the Korean War's Battle of Inchon.
ABSTRACT The Unification Church's Sun Myung Moon spearheaded and financed this insipid retelling of the Korean War's pivotal Battle of Inchon, following Douglas MacArthur as he readies his men for an operation that would ultimately prove to be the turning point in a conflict against Soviet-backed adversaries. Savaged by critics, Inchon only managed to make back about a tenth of its budget at the box office; it has yet to receive a home video release, though a broadcast from the defunct Unification Church-backed Goodlife Television Network in the early 2000s occasionally shows up on the Internet.
