ABSTRACT Somewhere in parts of the universe unknown to us Earthlings exists a mad scientist by the name of Jumba Jookiba, creating genetic "experiments" that draw the ire and, ultimately, legal attention of the Galactic Federation's Grand Council. Sentenced to jail with an order for his experiments to be rounded up, Jookiba's greatest and most precocious creation -- Experiment #626 -- escapes, stealing a police cruiser, crash-landing on Earth, and ending up in the possession of a Hawaiian girl named Lilo as a pet named "Stitch". Now, Lilo must keep her new friend safe from intergalactic police as she attempts to keep her dysfunctional family together on a peaceful island in the Pacific.
