CAST REVIEWS Review by anonymous (posted on 27-Dec-2006) If you have never seen Loretta Young when she was very young, you must catch Midnight Mary from 1933. Made before the code, it's quite racy and moves very fast. That's what I like about many of the pre-code films of the early 1930's. You can't get bored with them because practically every scene is interesting and they don't drag on as many films, especially epics, do. There has never been a more beautiful actress that Loretta Young IN THE EARLY 1930s. Please note, her hair had waves and it wasn't hanging down to her - - -. Very pretty and natural. Be sure to notice those wonderful hats and how good she looks in them. Her acting is also very natural and unaffected for a girl who was barely 21 years old. Her other films from this period, and there were many of them, are also quite good, but I think this is one of the best and has a very interesting story. What a beauty she was and only in her teens and 20s at the time. Also would rate the acting for the others in the film very good.
