ABSTRACT
Uxbal, a single father separated from his alcoholic and bipolar wife, lives with children Ana and Mateo in a ramshackle dwelling in Barcelona. A depressed, damaged individual who makes a living finding work for illegal immigrants and supervising Chinese workers producing counterfeit goods, Uxbal finds himself compelled to place his existence into perspective and make amends with those he has wronged when he is faced with a terminal cancer diagnosis.
