Two youngsters from caste-based worlds separated by opposite laws of gravity embark on a revolutionary romance.

ABSTRACT
Patema is a lovely young princess living in an underground society built from the ashes of an abandoned industrial complex, forbidden from venturing into certain "off-limits" areas designated as such by her civilization's ruling elders. An incident during a clandestine excursion into one such area sends Patema into a dystopian hellscape operating under opposite laws of gravity, ruled by a government warning of the ne'er-do-wells and sinners who "fell up" into the sky. It is here that Patema meets student Age, embarking on a romantic adventure to undermine authorities in both worlds after the pair master one another's native laws of gravity.
