REVIEWS Review by marianne (posted on 1-Oct-2005) After viewing The Thin Blue Line, I wrote to David Harris on death row in Livingston, TX. I have doubts that Randall Adams was not involved in this crime, although David was executed on June 30, 2004 for a different crime. We wrote for over 3 years, and although he did not choose to discuss the crime that sent him to death row, due to his remorse, he often wrote about the case with Randall Adams. I still feel in my heart that there was more to the story than dave talked about. I sometimes wonder if he confessed to this because he was going to die for another crime... why should two go down? Hopefully Mr. Adams was innocent and all was for not. David did his express his distain for Mr. Adams after his release, and the life he led, he felt he was that of a loser. Although this might be a path after 12 years on death row.
The dave i grew to know was a loving person, who embraced all on the outside, and tried to help those through the law library on death row, for he grew to understand the law more than the lay person could ever envision. I am not a bleeding heart, but David showed me a loving side that many may not ever understand. Hopefully he is now at peace. He fought till the end, but wrote that he had made peace and was ready to go. He was truly sorry in his heart for all the crimes he committed, and felt that his execution might bring peace for some. But i so miss the david that i grew to care for... and love...
