REVIEWS Review by Jocasta Redborn (posted on 5-May-2008) I thought this was a brilliant rendition of Patterson's book.
I particularly liked the mystery of the villiian Casanova; you don't see his face until the end; his voice is digitally a mix of the Cary Elwes' and Tony Goldwyn, which makes it very luring.
What makes this movie particularly interesting is that there are two villians: Casanova, who is based in Durham NC; and The Gentleman Caller, who is based in Beverly Hills CA. And the connection between the two is psychologically stunning.
The actors really involve themselves in their characters in this movie, it still fascinates me.
This is my all-time favorite move, to the point that I listen to the dialog at night when I sleep.
