Picked 7th overall from UW-Madison in the 1992 NFL Draft, by the Miami Dolpins. In 1996 he became a free agent and was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles. While with the Eagles he was selected for Pro Bowls starting in 1999 for five consecutive seasons. The year 1999 also saw him #1 for intersections in the entire NFL. Vincent was chosen Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2002. In 2004, he again became a free agent, but in his final years suffered from knee and hamstring injuries.
[1] Printed and online sources vary, giving 1969, 1970, or 1971. Ray Didinger and Robert S. Lyons, The Eagles Encyclopedia (2005), gives 1971 as his birthdate, and Jennifer M. York, Who's Who Among African Americans (2003), gives 1970. We use the date as given in the Philadelphia Eagles roster, published by that organization.
