He additionally set world records for 55m and 60m hurdles. The US boycotted the 1980 Olympics in Moscow, so what would have been certain gold there turned into a mediocre football career. Nehemiah did win four times on ABC's popular program The Superstars, in 1981, 82, 83, and 86. After football he regained amateur status for track and field, but by then he was no longer competitive. He now acts as an agent for other athletes, through Octagon Sports Marketing.
