It sold 1 million copies on the basis of being one of the first graphical adventure games. Warren Robinett is credited with inventing "easter eggs", hidden messages or features hidden inside software. Players who managed to find and manipulate a 1-pixel dot were rewarded with the message Created by Warren Robinett. He also wrote a Basic Programming cartridge for the Atari 2600. After leaving Atari, he created the award-winning game Rocky's Boots. He co-founded a software game company called The Learning Company in 1980.
