Great Polish mathematician, theorized that arithmetic truth cannot be defined in purely arithmetical terms. Perhaps the truths of arithmetic may be ascertained, however, the meta-language used to describe them must be richer than the object language.

This eminent Professor of Logic was a heavy drinker, devoted fan of speed, and a notorious womaniser.
