Virginia Madsen Born: 11-Sep-1961 [1] Birthplace: Chicago, IL
Gender: Female Race or Ethnicity: White Sexual orientation: Straight Occupation: Actor Nationality: United States Executive summary: Dune to Sideways Virginia Madsen first came to widespread attention as Princess Irulan in David Lynch's Dune, and her most famous films include the schlocky but scary Candyman, the abysmal Highlander II, and The Rainmaker. More recently, she was Oscar-nominated for her performance as Paul Giamatti's long-suffering girlfriend in Sideways. Still, much of her career has been spent in forgettable made-for-cable movies. She also starred in Brave New Girl, a 2004 ABC Family movie based on a novel by Britney Spears and Spears' mother. In the late 1990s, she briefly co-hosted Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack. In the early 2000s, she was a regular on the first season of American Dreams.
[1] The New Trier Alumni Association lists her high school graduation date as 1979. Widely reported claims that Madsen was born in 1963 are thus unlikely to be true.
