Craig Wright AKA Craig Steven Wright Born: 1970 Birthplace: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Gender: Male Race or Ethnicity: White Occupation: Business Nationality: Australia Executive summary: Purported creator of Bitcoin Revealed on 2 May 2016 via interviews with three news organizations, the BBC, The Economist, and GQ Magazine, that he is "Satoshi Nakamoto", pseudonymous creator of the Bitcoin cryptocurrency. As proof, Wright claimed to have digitally signed messages with keys used in the very first Bitcoin transaction. Unfortunately, the news organizations did not perform any sort of validation. One of the individuals who could shed light on things is Hal Finney, the recipient of that first transaction. Finney died in 2014 and his head is in cryonic suspension at Alcor.
If true, Wright's net worth (almost entirely Bitcoin) would be as high as $450M.
Australian Federal Police claim that December 2015 raids on Wright's residence a mere two hours after Wired published indications that Wright might be Natamoto are due to an unrelated tax investigation, but that explanation also defies credibility. High School: Padua College, Brisbane, Queensland University: Charles Sturt University
