Considered one of the best tennis players of all time, certainly among the top five. In 1938, Budge performed the first "Grand Slam" by winning at Wimbledon, the US Open, the French Open, and the Australian Open. For five years he was ranked at or tied as the #1 tennis player in the world -- 1937, 1938, 1939, 1940, 1942.
