Claus von Stauffenberg led a conspiracy to assassinate Adolf Hitler and overthrow the Nazi regime. It culminated in an unsuccessful bombing at the Wolf's Lair in Rastenburg, where the Fuhrer survived by dumb luck. Later that day, Stauffenberg was arrested and executed.
